DRESS CODE

Dancers must come appropriately dressed for class; otherwise they will not be permitted to participate. No necklaces, bracelets, or dangling earrings are allowed. Label all clothing and shoes. Hair accessories must be kept to a minimum, as they can become very distracting, especially to younger students. 

CREATIVE & PRE BALLET WITH JAZZ/TAP

Girls will wear our Danceworks embroidered pink leotard, Capezio pink tights, and pink leather ballet slippers with elastic sewn across the top to hold shoe securely on the foot. Hair must be pulled back into a secure bun. No skirts during class.

Boys will wear a solid white t-shirt, solid black shorts, and black ballet shoes with elastic sewn across the top to hold shoe securely on the foot.

All students enrolled in Creative II with Tap or Pre Ballet with Jazz/Tap must also have black flat tap shoes with buckle down or lace up closure.

BALLET

Girls will wear our Danceworks embroidered leotard. Specific color according to class level. All dancers must wear Capezio pink tights and pink ballet slippers. No regular bras showing, only black sports bra if needed. Hair must be pulled back into a secure bun.

Boys will wear white fitted short sleeve shirt, black matte dance tights, appropriate male undergarment, and black Ballet shoes.

HIP HOP

Girls will wear our Gray Danceworks Football Style T-Shirt with hot pink logo, solid black leggings or black dance shorts, and Black Revolution Sequin dance sneakers.

Boys will wear our Gray Danceworks Football Style T-Shirt with white logo, black shorts, and black sneakers.

Black jazz shoes may be worn as an alternate shoe. Hair must be pulled into a secure ponytail. 

TAP

Girls will wear our Danceworks embroidered leotard, solid black leggings or black dance shorts, and black lace tie tap shoes. Hair must be pulled back into a secure ponytail. 

Boys will wear any solid black t-shirt and shorts with black unisex lace tie tap shoes.

CONTEMPORARY & LYRICAL & JAZZ

Girls will wear our Danceworks embroidered black leotard, beige convertible tights, black dance shorts, and tan lyrical sandals. Hair must be pulled into a secure ponytail.

Boys will wear any solid black t-shirt and shorts. Tan half sole shoes are optional.

FLAMENCO

Danceworks embroidered black leotard, Flamenco shirt, and black Flamenco shoes. Castanets will also be needed. Hair must be pulled back into a secure bun.

BELLY DANCE

Black camisole top or sports bra, black leggings, and any color coin hip skirt. Students dance in their bare feet. 

ACRO

Girls will wear any style and color 1 piece bikeatard. These can be found at Target or online at www.discountdance.com or Amazon. Hair must be pulled into a secure ponytail.

Boys will wear any solid color t-shirt and shorts.

No shoes or socks worn. Bare feet only.
