Kirsta Irvine- Director/ Owner

Kirsta Irvine began her dance career at a young age training with Linda Wills in multiple styles of dance.  She was an active member of Miami Dance Theatre for 7 years under the direction of Judith Newman and Mariana Alvarez.  With Miami Dance Theatre, she performed principal roles in ballets such as Nutcracker, Paquita, Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, as well as original choreography, like Pas de Trois, Hungarian Tanze and Patterns for the S.E.R.B.A. Dance Festival.  Ms. Irvine also performed in Trilogy, which received the Monticello Scholarship Award.  She trained with instructors such as Patricia Strauss, Delma Iles, Ron Headrick, Magdalena Maury, Andrea Seidel and Karen Peterson.    She was also accepted into and trained at the Houston Ballet Academy Summer Program.  During her college years at Florida International University, she studied Elementary Education and has used her knowledge in the field to enhance the curriculum of our young students.  She also danced on the FIU dance team as a Golden Dazzler.  Ms. Irvine has dedicated her life to Danceworks for more than 35 years.  She has choreographed and staged countless original dances.  She is proud to have had many students graduate from top magnet programs, continue their dance education by being accepted into several prestigious college programs specifically for dance & theater, as well as develop careers as professional dancers or teachers.
